Do I need to install anything?+
No. TradingNote is a web app: it runs entirely in your browser. Your journals and portfolios are stored locally in that browser, with no download and no account required.
How does TradingNote work?+
TradingNote helps you work with your investments through two complementary views: portfolios to understand what you own, and a trading journal to record and review your decisions over time. Everything runs in the browser on this device, with clarity and context, without noise.
What assets can be added and analyzed?+
TradingNote lets you add stocks, ETFs, funds, and cryptocurrencies. Not all cryptocurrencies or global assets are available yet, but we continuously expand coverage. If an asset doesn’t appear when you register an investment, let us know and we’ll tell you if it can be added.
Can I record notes and context about my decisions?+
Yes. TradingNote lets you add notes, context, and hypotheses to both portfolio positions and trading journal entries. This helps you understand not just what happened, but why you made each decision.
Can I use TradingNote only as a trading journal or only for portfolios?+
Yes. Portfolios and Trading Journal are independent. You can use TradingNote only to track your portfolio, only as a trading journal, or combine both depending on how you work.
Can I manage multiple portfolios?+
Yes. The free version lets you work with a single portfolio to try the workflow. The Pro version unlocks multiple portfolios and expands tracking and analysis capacity.
How do backups work?+
Pro includes options to export and save backup copies of your data where you choose (for example to a file you keep).
What happens to my data if I stop using TradingNote or clear site data?+
Your data is stored in your browser on this device. TradingNote does not upload your portfolio or journal to our servers. If you clear site data, use another browser or profile, or replace your device, export or back up first if you want to keep a copy.
Is there advertising, analytics, or tracking in TradingNote?+
No. TradingNote doesn’t include ads or behavioral tracking. Only you have access to your investment data, it isn’t collected for marketing, analyzed by us for profiling, or sold to third parties.
How do I upgrade to Pro?+
